RX 7900 XTX falls back to $1,199.99

The most useful move today is at the upper midrange and 4K end. Amazon’s tracked Radeon RX 7900 XTX fell to $1,199.99, down from $1,499 in our August 18 snapshot. That suddenly puts it almost level with the RTX 5070 Ti at $1,170, which makes the head to head view much more interesting than it was last week if you care about 24 GB versus NVIDIA’s software stack.

AMD’s older value play also got squeezed. The Radeon RX 7800 XT climbed to $669.97, while the newer Radeon RX 9070 held at $689.99. A $20.02 gap is not much room for the older card to make its case, so the RX 7800 XT and RX 9070 comparison is now one of the easiest recommendation swings on the site.

NVIDIA’s low end moved the wrong way. The RTX 5050 rose from $299.99 to $349.99, a 16.7% jump in a single refresh. The wildest absolute swing belongs to the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, whose tracked Amazon listing dropped from $14,435 to $5,068.96. That is workstation money either way, but a move that large changes the shape of the top end board overnight.
