How we track GPU and AI hardware prices
Where prices come from
We track one representative Amazon retail listing per GPU model — currently 28 cards across NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel. The daily price from that Amazon listing supplies the Amazon listing's daily price history used in our charts, all-time markers, and MSRP comparisons.
The separate desktop AI hardware catalog currently covers 9 complete systems, including NVIDIA DGX Spark and comparable GB10 designs. Manufacturer pages substantiate system identity and specifications. Retail prices are recorded only after an exact Amazon, eBay, or Newegg product page matches the cataloged configuration.
We also show current marketplace comparisons when available: Newegg new-price comparisons sourced through Rakuten Advertising Product Search, and condition-labeled eBay marketplace comparisons sourced through eBay's official Browse API. These comparisons match the GPU model and memory capacity, but board-partner products can differ from the tracked Amazon product. They are not part of the tracked Amazon listing's history.
Newegg and eBay comparisons are shown only while they are in stock and confirmed within the last 72 hours. Tracking one Amazon listing per model keeps its history honest: a price move on our charts means that listing actually moved, not that another product took over the cheapest slot. The trade-off is that another variant may be cheaper on any given day — we say so wherever prices appear.
How often everything updates
Prices are checked once a day and every page on the site is rebuilt from the fresh data. Each page shows the date its prices were last confirmed (this page's data: August 23, 2026). The daily Amazon closing price is appended to the permanent history that powers each card's chart, all-time low and high markers, and MSRP comparisons.
Desktop AI hardware offers use a 72-hour display window. If an exact retailer page cannot be checked again, that offer disappears while the manufacturer-sourced specification record remains.
What the numbers mean
- Street price — what the tracked listing actually charges today, not the manufacturer's suggested price.
- MSRP delta — how far today's street price sits above or below the launch MSRP of the exact variant we track.
- New (Newegg) — the cheapest in-stock new listing we could confirm in the last 72 hours. It may be a different board-partner product from the Amazon listing we track.
- eBay (condition shown) — the cheapest in-stock listing we could confirm in the last 72 hours. Prices vary by condition and seller; treat ours as a starting point, not a guarantee.
How we make money
Outbound Amazon, Newegg, and eBay retailer links may be affiliate links: if you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate revenue never affects which cards we track, the prices we show, or how cards rank — every ranking on this site is computed from the price data itself. We run no display ads.
Corrections
Automated validation gates every data update, but mistakes can still slip through. If a price or spec looks wrong, check back after the next daily rebuild — confirmed fixes land with the next update.
